Gardiner construction to be finished two months ahead of schedule

Construction currently underway on a section of the Gardiner Expressway will end up to two months ahead of schedule, but it will come at a price.

Mayor John Tory announced on Thursday an accelerated schedule that will see the roadway reopen in May 2015, several weeks sooner than previously planned. This means all lanes will be open well before and during the Pan Am Games.

It will cost up to $2-million to enlist more crews that speed up the work, money that Mayor Tory says is well spent.
